NAME: Whitman, after poet Walt Whitman

BORN: early May, 2001 (sibling to Hawthorne)

FAVORITE ACTIVITIES (as a baby): When Whitman first came home, he was painfully shy, and hesitated to do much of anything. Over the last couple of months, he has really opened up, and gotten much more brave. He now accompanies his brother Hawthorne on some of his escapades, and enjoys being held and receiving scratches. We're very proud of him!

FAVORITE ACTIVITES (as an adult):

FAVORITE FOODS: Though reserved much of the time, Whitman really gets into the fray at dinnertime. He is particularly fond of yogurt drops, and any form of pasta.
